Presentation

UV-visible and Raman spectroscopy on nano-volume biological samples
Techniques:

  • Absorption, Fluorescence, Fluorescence lifetime, Raman microspectrophotometry,
  • Actinic (laser) excitation of photosensitive samples.

Samples:

  • protein crystals or solutions from cryo- to room-temperatures.
    Typical applications:
  • Study of oxidation state in metalloproteins,
  • Study of X-ray induced radiation damage,
  • Study of coloured proteins or ligands in crystalline and solution states,
  • Kinetic crystallography,
  • Test bench for online spectroscopic experiments on the ESRF MX beamlines.

Key words
