Access

To access ISBG platforms

follow these simple steps:

  1. Browse the platform pages (Menu) for information on the research platforms available for user access.
  2. Contact the platforms directly by email to discuss your experiments.
  3. The platform will provide a quotation or indicate the applicable tariff.
  4. You place an order to “ISBG-CNRS”.
  5. After your experiment, ISBG will invoice your laboratory.
  6. Please use the acknowledgement below in any communication including data thus obtained:

« This work used the platforms of the Grenoble Instruct-ERIC center (ISBG ; UAR 3518 CNRS-CEA-UGA-EMBL) within the Grenoble Partnership for Structural Biology (PSB), supported by FRISBI (ANR-10-INBS-0005-02) and GRAL, financed within the University Grenoble Alpes graduate school (Ecoles Universitaires de Recherche) CBH-EUR-GS (ANR-17-EURE-0003). »

Tariffs

Research
Tariffs for academic users are presented below and apply to research activities where the input of platform is clearly recognised (e.g. collaboration, authorship, clear acknowledgement).

Users from GRAL, FRISBI or PSB laboratories. Please state this clearly to the platform who will indicate the project-specific tariff.

Services
Normal service mode can be provided for industry and academics. This requires no acknowledgement of the ISBG or its platforms, however full-price costings will be used to calculate the tariff and a quotation will be provided.

Funding routes for access

Different options exist to pay for your access:

  • Simple research use : discuss your needs with the platform (sample, visit, schedule). You will receive a quotation, you then place an order and we send you an invoice.
  • Instruct will pay to a capped limit the costs of your experiment. A short proposal is submitted via the Instruct website for peer review. ISBG invoices Instruct directly for your tariffs and you send your travel receipts to Instruct for reimbursement.
  • Infranalytics will pay the costs of access to the Bruker 950 MHz NMR spectrometer for French users. A limited number of access days (10 per year) is also available for users outside France. Users must submit a proposal for peer review.
  • FRISBI has periodic calls for funded access on its website.
  • Collaborations involving multiple users : Separate invoices can be sent to different users at their respective tariffs. This should be defined with the platform and the ISBG before orders are sent.

In order to thank all financial contributors for their access to ISBG instruments and expertise, we ask you to include the following acknowledgement phrase in all communications dealing with data obtained from one or more ISBG platforms:

« This work used the platforms of the Grenoble Instruct-ERIC center (ISBG ; UAR 3518 CNRS-CEA-UGA-EMBL) within the Grenoble Partnership for Structural Biology (PSB), supported by FRISBI (ANR-10-INBS-0005-02) and GRAL, financed within the University Grenoble Alpes graduate school (Ecoles Universitaires de Recherche) CBH-EUR-GS (ANR-17-EURE-0003). »

Confidentiality, Property & Valorisation

In all cases, standard conditions of confidentiality are ensured (dedicated and secured computer areas for each platform, confidentiality clauses for the personnel involved in the project, restricted physical access to the site, GDPR conformity for personal data etc.). If more specific conditions are needed, more precise contracts can be established between the relevant ISBG authorities and the partner.

Data produced by the platforms remain the property of the users. The methods used by the platforms remain the property of the platform, but users can request help in writing the “Materials & Methods” sections of publications.

Nevertheless every communication, oral and written, using totally or partially data from ISBG platforms, must acknowledge as follows

  • « This work used the platforms of the Grenoble Instruct-ERIC center (ISBG; UAR 3518 CNRS-CEA-UGA-EMBL) within the Grenoble Partnership for Structural Biology (PSB), supported by FRISBI (ANR-10-INBS-0005-02) and GRAL, financed within the University Grenoble Alpes graduate school (Ecoles Universitaires de Recherche) CBH-EUR-GS (ANR-17-EURE-0003).«
  • By including platform people in the author list if their implication in the project goes further than a basic service.
