The flow-cytometer (VYB, Miltenyi biotec) is used to analyze cell population statistics based on size and complexity (FSC and SSC : no label necessary) and quantitative fluorescence labeling : It is equipped with three lasers (8 fluorescence channels) and covers the emission wavelengths used on optical microscopes. It is automatable (multiwell plates, immuno-staining, dilutions), and compatible with magnetic columns from Miltenyi (enrichment of rare events).
